I took Kaida to the Dr. the other day. She caught a cold the week before Christmas and the cough has never gone away. So she's on antibiotics now. While we were there Dr. Kovatch did a quick exam on the baby doll Holly. Kaida had her Dr. kit with her too so while he was making notes she also examined Holly. Cute, right? But the best part is how perfectly she immitated him. Before he examines them he always says "Alright, let's see." So as she's looking into Holly's ear she says "Alwight, yet's see."
I just thought of another adorable thing she says that will go away when she gets older.
TVD = DVD
She always wants us to put in her "Mickey songs TVD."
And PBS truck = UPS truck
"Mommy, dere's a PBS twuck ober dere!"
Colin is starting to pick up a lot more words. They don't always stick around but it's fun to hear them.
Mal-mal = milk
I got him to meow today.
He still says Ay-dah for Kaida. He doesn't say it to her though, only when she's not physically there. Like if he wakes up from a nap and she's not downstairs (like where's Ay-dah?), or when he sees her on the monitor in her crib (I found her!).
And he's constantly pointing and saying "Dat, dat." or sometimes it sounds like "wut dat?" so we tell him the name of everything he points to.
I had to move the chairs away from the little table because he keeps climbing up to sit on the table. So instead he climbs onto the chair in the middle of the room, stands up on it, lets go, and starts shaking his little butt while he dances. I'm not sure if that's better or not.
He is down to nursing three times a day now. I think I'll try to cut out that middle of the day feeding this week coming up so that he's down to twice a day by his first birthday. He's doing pretty good with the sippy cups, although sometimes it seems like as much comes back out as makes it all the way in. He gets it in his mouth and then forgets to swallow. Then when he smiles (like, all the time) it just blubs back out.
It's cute but very wet.
