We've had a couple Dr. appointments in the last few weeks. Everyone seems to be growing in leaps and bounds!
At Colin's 3 day apt. he was 6lbs 11 oz. so almost back up to his birth weight.
Next he had a 2 week appointment. At that one he weighed in at 7 lbs 15.5 Oz.
I can't remember his lengths from either of those appointments though. I think they got a length shorter than the hospital at the first visit. And then at his two week Dr. Kovatch said that he had grown a half inch. But I don't know if that was a half inch bigger than the hospital measurement or the office measurement. So maybe there were no changes in length at all. They haven't given me a print out for him, and with trying to keep track of her at the same time I forget to ask.
Kaida's 18 month appointment was yesterday. She was 32 inches tall, 22 pounds 8 ounces, and her head was 48 cm.
So her percentiles were 60th for height, 22 for weight, and 93 for head. She still has a giant noggin but her weight is starting to catch up. He said in their second year they usually gain about 4 pounds and she's already gained half of that so she's right on track.
He asked if she was eating more varieities of food now to explain the big change in percentiles. And I said no, she's always eaten a large variety but now she's just eating more. I told him how she'll bring me snacks from her drawer when she wants something and he thought that was great.
Her soft spot is closed and her lungs are clearly fine. She demonstrated that by screaming the entire time he was in the room with us.
Her next appointment will be when she turns two. It's so far out we couldn't even schedule it yet.
Colin will be 5 weeks next week and that's when we're going to have his 1 month appointment. I'm interested to see his growth again since he's already in the 3 month clothes.
